Real estate has always been an important component of our strategy. Today we own a focused real estate portfolio that includes income-producing properties as well as real estate development projects on the West Coast of the US.

With a deep concentration in commercial real estate in the US, Allrise Capital has enjoyed impressive returns that resulted in a portfolio of assets today that serves as the foundation of our investments.

As part of our investment process, we place high value on markets with expanding and diversified job growth, particularly in the technology and manufacturing industries. We seek assets that produce consistent cash flow with the ability to secure favorable long-term debt using conservative loan-to-value ratios.

Allrise Capital’s Venture Capital and Direct Investment practice focuses on Technology companies with experienced entrepreneurs where exits or liquidity events can be achieved inside of five years.

We seek to be opportunistic investors in the early stage companies focusing on businesses where we see disruptive application of technology and large addressable markets. We place high value on the experience of the entrepreneur and management teams and look to invest into companies with clear exit strategies.

The firm’s Special Situations practice invests in undervalued assets globally primarily through corporate credit portfolios and distressed debt.

Our Approach in Special Situations

Our approach seeks to combine protection against loss, which generally comes from buying claims on assets at bargain prices, with the substantial gains achieved by returning companies to financial viability through restructuring.

Deep due diligence is imperative to delivering above-market returns and as part of our investment process, we conduct extensive credit, macroeconomic and legal analysis for our investment opportunities.

As Chief Executive Officer, Ruslan is responsible for the management of the firm and its investment strategy.

Prior to joining Allrise, Ruslan has spent over 12 years in the investment and commercial banking industry servicing emerging growth, middle market and large cap companies in a variety of sectors, including Real Estate, Technology, Media and Telecommunications.

Most recently, Ruslan was with Barclays’ Investment Banking practice in Silicon Valley where he has helped Technology companies raise over $9 billion in IPO proceeds, $30 billion in debt financing and has helped close over $30 billion of M&A transactions.

Prior to Barclays, Ruslan has held multiple leadership positions with J.P. Morgan Chase’s Business Banking group in San Francisco managing banking relationships for growth companies and various parts of the credit portfolio.

Ruslan received his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay.

Ruslan resides in Orange County with his wife and their three children.

As General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, Nathan oversees all legal and compliance aspects of the firm and its affiliates.

Prior to joining Allrise Capital, Nathan served as General Counsel, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer for Meed, a digital banking fintech startup based in Silicon Beach.

Prior to that, Nathan’s experience includes serving as VP & Corporate Counsel for U.S. Bank, consulting in financial services regulatory compliance, and practicing law in business and real estate litigation and transactions.

Nathan earned a B.A. in Philosophy from UCLA and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (US), and a licensed real estate broker.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mikhail is responsible for managing operations of the Company, transaction sourcing, structuring, and focuses on business development domestically and internationally.

In addition, Mikhail works closely with the operations team to ensure efficiency in the firm’s day to day processes.

Mikhail has over 10 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Allrise, Mikhail worked as the VP at Summit State Bank. There he managed a portfolio of loans and was also responsible for the structuring of commercial real estate, construction, business loans and government guaranteed loans. While working for JP Morgan Chase, Mikhail managed loan and deposit portfolios for the bank’s business clients in a number of different industries.

Mikhail enjoys giving back to his community by actively consulting small business in operations management. Mikhail currently resides in Laguna Niguel with his wife and three children.

As the Operations Manager, Melissa is responsible for overseeing the firm’s administrative and operational functions. In her role, Melissa manages Allrise Capital’s Human Resources department and is responsible for developing and implementing company policies, the recruitment process, employee relations, and training and development.

Prior to joining Allrise Capital, Melissa lived in Switzerland where she worked as an Operations Manager at YLAA, an International Multicultural Center.

Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach. Because of her academic excellence, Melissa was elected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, one of the oldest and most prestigious academic honor societies in the U.S. Melissa enjoys travelling, hiking, and learning new languages.

Investment Analyst

As Investment Analyst, Josh is responsible for analyzing investment opportunities and conducting market research and company due diligence.

Most recently, Josh worked as an analyst at Harvey & Company a buyside acquisition advisory. At Harvey & Company, he spent his time servicing private equity and Fortune 500 clients for buyout, growth, and recapitalization transactions.

Prior to Harvey & Company, Josh was with Blueprint Equity, a technology focused growth equity fund where he spent most of his is time identifying and executing investments in the enterprise software space.

Before Josh worked as an investment professional, he worked in Business Development at a Fintech startup, Diversyfund. Here, Josh helped fundraise for the firm’s Growth REIT and helped close the firm’s $5 million in series A funding.

Josh earned a B.A. in Business Administration in Finance at the University of San Diego. He enjoys travelling and sports.
